La leyenda, cuenta que un dragón amenazaba a los valencianos que incautos se acercaban al río Túria sin prevención, los habitantes que se aproximaban a las orillas, eran temerosos de ser mutilados -cuando no comidos- por las fauces de la bestia. Un día un joven, armado con su astucia, se enfrentó al dragón con una lanza y un traje realizado de espejos. El dragón, unos dicen que por la luminosidad del traje y otros por que al verse contemplado con horror, se paralizó, dando tiempo al héroe de asestar un lanzazo a la bestia causándole la muerte.

Legend has it that a dragon threatened the Valencians who unsuspectingly approached the river Turia without prevention, the inhabitants who approached the banks, were afraid of being mutilated - when not eaten - by the jaws of the beast. One day a young man, armed with his cunning, confronted the dragon with a spear and a costume made of mirrors. The dragon, some say that because of the brightness of the suit and others because when looked at with horror, it paralyzed, giving the hero time to throw a spear to the beast causing him death.
